According to the public accusations of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the “Chairman of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea” was found guilty of collaborative activity (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), he was sentenced in absentia to 8 years of imprisonment with the deprivation of the right to hold positions related to civil service and local self-government, for a period of 10 years and with confiscation of property.

“Prosecutors proved in court that in July 2022 the convict voluntarily headed the “State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea”. Implementing the policy of the aggressor state in the occupied territories, the “official” organizes and conducts numerous events with the aim of forming a pro-Russian information space and influencing consciousness the youth of Crimea”, – said the prosecutor’s office.

According to the investigation, from 2020 to the present, the convict has been working as the head of the Crimean RV of the Youth Guard of the United Russia, an institution included in Canada’s sanctions list against organizations involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation, as well as in the creation and dissemination of propaganda and disinformation.

Previously, the Holosiyiv District Court of Kyiv convicted a businesswoman from Crimea in absentia for the illegal removal of 500 children from the occupied territories. For this, she was sentenced to three years in prison.
