Gas stations in the temporarily occupied Crimea ran out of diesel fuel, which happened after a shortage of popular brands of gasoline.
This is reported by “Krym Realiy” with reference to a Crimean activist on condition of anonymity.
“Since the evening of December 30, there has been a lack of not only gasoline of the popular brands A92, A95 and even A95 ULTRA, but also diesel fuel,” the report says.
It is noted that, according to the activist, this is due to the unstable operation of the crossing on the Kerch Strait due to stormy weather and the priority of supplying diesel fuel for the needs of the Russian occupation forces.
“It was necessary to disrupt the logistics of supplying fuel by crossing the Kerch Strait, as gasoline again disappeared in Crimea, and now diesel at gas stations. Currently, the diesel fuel available in Crimea is sent to the Ukrainian front for the needs of the Russian military, so the situation with the lack of this type of fuel at gas stations may drag on, especially since the sea is often stormy in January and February, and the crossing is unstable,” said the activist.
The publication notes that as early as December 25, the Russian head of the temporarily occupied Crimea, Serhii Aksyonov, assured that the problem with the fuel shortage had been resolved.
In Crimea, security measures on the Kerch Bridge before the New Year have been strengthened.
The Russian authorities plan to strengthen control of the approaches to the Kerch (Crimea) bridge on the eve of the New Year holidays.
