“The claim has already been filed on Friday. It is filed as stipulated in the law, to the Supreme Administrative Court. The court will consider it, ”Yelensky said.
He noted that the court would take place in accordance with the established procedure. According to him, Dess will do everything possible to prevent this issue “drowned” in legal spam, since such attempts are already observed.
The head of the Desx explained that, if the court is satisfied, the Metropolitanate of the UOC -MP will be deprived of the status of a legal entity and will lose the right of subjectivity.
“This means that the parishes of this church will not have a center in the face of the Metropolitanate of Kiev. At the same time, this does not mean that parishes should move to another church. The state does not require it. If they want, they can remain independent, ”Yelensky explained.
It should be reminded that the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (Desx) has decided to recognize the Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) with the Russian Orthodox Church.
