In Chernihiv, law enforcement officers exposed a large-scale corruption scheme, whose participants for $ 8,000 made a fictitious conclusions of the Military Medical Commission on military service.

The 37-year-old doctor-a member of the Military Medical Commission was organized. He involved four more doctors from various medical institutions of the city, including a neurologist, the head of the therapeutic department, the head of the psychoneurological hospital, an ambulance paramedic and a mediator who was looking for those who wanted to avoid mobilization.
At the instruction of the organizer, the paramedic entered into the documentation false data on imaginary trips to “patients”. Further, other doctors sent “patients” for inpatient treatment and made fictitious diagnoses – in particular, epilepsy. On the basis of falsified medical reports, the VLK recognized persons unsuitable for service, which allowed them to be excluded from military accounting and traveling abroad.
Law enforcement officers have documented numerous cases of bribes of $ 8,000 from each client. During the transfer of the next “tranche” the organizer of the scheme and two of his accomplices was detained by special forces of the KORD. In total, 26 searches were conducted, draft records, electronic devices, medical records and almost $ 20,000 in cash were seized.
Six participants were informed of the suspicion. The organizer is charged with several articles of the Criminal Code:
– Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 1 of Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces),
– Part 3 of Art. 332 (illegal crossing persons through the state border),
– Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 3 of Art. 368 (obtaining undue benefit).
The paramedic and the mediator are suspected of Part 1 of Art. 114-1, three more doctors are accused of official forgery (Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code). They were taken into custody.
The investigation is currently underway and the involvement of others in the illegal scheme is being checked. The attackers are threatened with up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the procedural leadership of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General and the Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Western region, two law enforcement officers and four citizens of Ukraine were informed about suspicion.
