In Cherkasy, the Security Service of Ukraine eliminated another scheme to circumvent sanctions on the export of Ukrainian products to the Russian Federation. The management of the chemical enterprise was exposed there.

According to the investigation, representatives of the chemical plant arranged wholesale deliveries of fertilizers and minerals for the agricultural sector of Russia.
According to the investigation, during the years 2022-2024, the companies illegally transported their own products to the Russian Federation in the amount of 1.8 million dollars. The persons involved used an affiliated company in the Middle East to covertly transport Ukrainian goods.
The products of the Cherkasy manufacturer were initially sent to a Middle Eastern intermediary, and from there they were re-exported to the Russian Federation, and among the key customers were one of the largest companies of the aggressor country’s agro-industrial complex – Shchyolkovo Agrochem and Alterit.
According to available data, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the participants have shipped more than 216 tons of chemical products to Russian enterprises, the organizers used anonymous chats in messengers and e-mail to discuss illegal supplies and continue underground business.
Searches were conducted at the places of work and residence of the persons involved, and documents, mobile phones and computer equipment with evidence of embezzlement were found.
SBU investigators informed the head of the Cherkasy company about the suspicion of h. 1 Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (assistance to the aggressor state), an investigation is currently underway to prosecute all participants in the scheme. Perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed enterprises in the Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, and Odesa regions that, bypassing international sanctions, supplied Russians with microchips and electronic boards for the production of missiles and drones.
