In Cherkasy region, the son of the mayor of Uman received the second group of disability, without having any medical grounds, with the help of forged documents. For a long time, he received state social assistance, and lost most of the funds in online casinos.

The man organized the production of a falsified referral to the MSEK by prior collusion with individual medical workers. On its basis, the medical and social expert commission unjustifiably assigned him the second group of disability indefinitely.
The National Police has already canceled the illegally registered disability and documented all the circumstances of its appointment.
According to the same scheme, the man obtained the status of an internally displaced person (IDP), to which he was not entitled, and received additional social benefits.
As part of the investigation, searches were conducted, financial documentation, MSEK materials, bank data, forged certificates and other evidence were seized.
The results of the medical and social examinations and the forensic medical examination confirmed that the man’s disability was unfounded and did not correspond to his real state of health.
The man was notified of suspicion of fraud. Police are also investigating the possible involvement of medical professionals who may have contributed to the criminal scheme.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Earlier, the qualifications and disciplinary commission of prosecutors dismissed two employees of the prosecutor’s office, who registered for disability in order to receive a pension.
