The situation really is as described in The Global Economy rating, Ukraine is one of the leaders in “brain drain”, this is a reality.
Nothing can be done here. This has happened more than once in history.
This does not mean that this is the end of Ukraine. Yes, it is a pity that out of 42 million people in Ukraine, maybe 26 are left. This is a tragedy for Ukraine. But if the country begins to rise, recover, then part of the population will return.
Another thing is more frightening: “import substitution” of Ukrainians. Our businessmen will start doing this very quickly, they are “bad patriots”. They will quickly start bringing people from other regions of the world to do some work here. This is very convenient, because these people are strangers, you can pay them less, they just need to work and that’s it. This is much more dangerous than the number of those who went abroad.
That is, this rating is not a tragedy. This is a historical process. How can we stop people from leaving when there is a war like this? But our government does not know how to appreciate what is called “diaspora”. Diaspora is not so bad. This is not a disaster for the country. These people are also part of Ukraine. Some of them will return.
Therefore, I do not see a tragedy here. The tragedy is that we lose the war on earth. But this is another conversation.
