The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Grynchuk, expressed hope that the investigation into large-scale abuses in the field of energy, exposed by NABU and SAP, will not have a negative impact on international aid to Ukrainian energy companies.
At the press conference, the head of the Ministry of Energy stated that Ukraine is open to cooperation and an objective investigation:
“I am sure that the investigation will be conducted objectively, impartially within the framework of the law, and appropriate decisions will be made based on its results (…). I hope that the objectivity and openness of the investigation will assure our partners that we are open to any actions.”
Grynchuk added that international aid and agreements on additional support will enable Ukrainian energy companies to carry out the necessary restoration work after the Russian attacks. She emphasized that the partners provide this assistance “not for energy companies, but for the entire Ukrainian society.”
Svitlana Grynchuk also stated that the volume of power outages in Ukraine has decreased, although the situation in the energy system remains difficult.
We will remind that Minister Grynchuk is mentioned in NABU records in the corruption case.
