Law enforcement officers are checking the bank accounts of Bohdan Yakymets, probably a businessman from the Ternopil region. His name is associated with very large projects: construction of warehouses and development in that region. Many journalists and businessmen they say that Yakimets is probably the “wallet” – that is, the person who manages the money – of the well-known oligarch Ihor Kolomoiskyi in the west of Ukraine, namely in Ternopil and the region.
Yakimets seems to act as the ultimate beneficiary of a number of enterprises that are formally registered in the name of other people. Some of these facts are currently being checked, including bank accounts that are of interest to law enforcement officers.

Who is Bohdan Yakimets?
Bohdan Yakymets is a businessman from Ternopil Oblast. In important circles, he was known as an “informal assistant” and friend of former chief anti-corruption prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi. Kholodnytsky himself once even talked that it is possible that Yakimets is his best man. He mentioned him as “a godfather who lives near Vyshnev and does business.”
It was through Kholodnytskyi that in 2018 the General Prosecutor’s Office (GPU) became interested in Yakymets. Then even in his house searched due to suspicion of extorting $2 million from former tax official Stanislav Denysyuk. The investigation suspected that Yakimets was allegedly an intermediary in the transfer of this money, which was probably intended for Kholodnytskyi. It was not possible to prove this “mediation” then.
Bohdan’s power of attorney: connection with Kolomoiskyi
Yakymets’ main connection with the oligarchs probably goes through Andrii Bohdan, a well-known lawyer Igor Kolomoisky, who later became the head of the President’s Office. About a year before working with Zelenskyi, Yakimets wrote out a power of attorney for Andrii Bohdan.
And in 2020, when the fate of the important Kolomoi law was decided, journalists seen under his Kyiv office the car registered to Yakymets’ father – Yaroslav Yakymets. Kholodnytsky friendship with Bohdan confirmed but he could not explain why Yakymets’ car was there. And Kolomoisky himself generally denied that he knew Bohdan Yakymets.
Ternopil business and its denominations
They say that large sums of money from Kolomoisky began to flow into Ternopil Oblast in 2017. Companies allegedly managed by Yakimets, recorded on fictitious persons and the real owner is probably Ihor Kolomoiskyi.
- “Western Container Terminal” : A huge warehouse that earned UAH 5.4 billion per year. Volodymyr Mozhuk and Olga Antoniv are listed as owners, but the real owner probably Yakimets/Kolomoiskyi.
- “Terplast Group” : A company controlled by Yakymets through his father, Yaroslav Yakymets.
- LLC “Space Development” : Logistics complex. Registered to Stepan Molotka, Anatoly Zuyev and ex-wife Kateryna Shlyakhina.
- KC Group LLC : A clothing manufacturing company, where Kateryna Shlyakhina was also.
Important: all these companies rent the land under their complexes from the Ternopil City Council.
Network of “wallets” and elite real estate
This entire business empire of Yakymets is possibly controlled through trusted people, his “wallets”:
- Stepan Molotok : A villa in Kozyna and a lot of land near Bukovel were registered to him.
- Anatoly Zuev : Runs a large poultry business. He also owns the fast food chain “Chicken Hut”. In Kyiv, very expensive apartments are registered for him. There is a suspicion that this real estate also belongs to Yakymets.
- Yaroslav Yakimets (father) : Houses near Kyiv and an apartment in an elite residential complex are registered to him.
- Himself Bohdan Yakimets personally owns only two apartments in expensive Kyiv housing complexes.
Two versions of the takeoff and settlement with the mayor
No one knows exactly how Yakymets became Kolomoisky’s confidant, but there are two versions:
In addition, in 2015, Yakymets probably helped the mayor of Ternopil Serhii Nadal get on the TV channel “1+1” Kolomoiskyi. There is information that the same scheme is at the heart of the scandal with the half-glass building known as the “Nadala Hotel”. According to the media, the mayor “gave this hotel” To someone in exchange for some services.
The case of “Ukrnafta”
August 21 NABU conducted searches at SBU employees. They are suspected of illegally passing on secret information about the investigation of Ihor Kolomoiskyi. The investigation believes that it was Bohdan Yakimets who passed the information on the Ukrnafta case to Kolomoiskyi’s lawyers.
- Court allowed searches at SBU officials, including Pavlo Dudar, head of the department.
- Basis: data which found in a smartphone Yakymets, who was seized back in February during a search.
Yakimets contact person
They say that Yakimets is now acting as an intermediary between Kolomoiskyi and the leadership of the SBU, possibly with the permission of the President’s Office.
- Correspondence with SBU employees, including Pavel Dudar, who had access to the Ukrnafta case, was found in Yakymets’ phone.
- Gennadiy Bogolyubov, a partner of Kolomoisky, who probably fled Ukraine using someone else’s passport, appears in the same case.
- Previously, the SBU and the Prosecutor General NABU detectives were accused in the fact that they allegedly helped Bogolyubov escape.
- This situation has worsened after arrest two NABU detectives for treason. One of them, Ruslan Magomedrasulov, handled the case of Yakymets. This probably means that the SBU got access to all his investigations, including the case of Bogolyubov’s escape, in which Yakimets appears.
Investigative actions of the SBU regarding NABU
It must be remembered that on August 21 the SBU has already conducted searches at NABU employees. After that, the director of the territorial administration of NABU in Dnipro suspected in treason, and also announced the denunciation of the FSB agent in the central office of NABU. These actions may be part of a larger conflict between anti-corruption authorities and the SBU.
What the law enforcement officers are checking
Detectives have sent requests to Ukrainian banks with the demand to disclose bank secrecy and to provide information about the accounts of Bohdan Yakymets.
It is about banking transactions of an entrepreneur. Investigators require data on open and closed accounts, balances of funds, payment instruments and counterparties of all financial transactions. Banks are given 10 working days to respond.
Earlier it was reported that in July of this year, the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office exposed Ruslan Magamedrasulov, one of the heads of interregional offices of NABU detectives, on like doing business in Russia, namely – he allegedly helped his father conduct trade with the aggressor country. The official was stationed in the city of Dnipro and coordinated the activities of the Bureau in the front-line regions, in particular the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions.
