The Security Service of Ukraine in absentia has informed about the suspicion of two Russian Admirals and their subordinate, which commanded missile strikes on UNESCO World Heritage Situations in the center of Odessa on November 5, 2023.

At that time, the invaders damaged historic buildings, including the Potocki Palace and the BOFPO House.

According to the SBU, the Russian Admiral, Commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Viktor Sokolov gave an order to carry out shelling. Further, his deputy Viecadmiral Arkady Romanov planned a blow and gave a corresponding order to his subordinate to Colonel Oleksiy Shcherbakov, who is the commander of the 15th separate coastal rocket brigade of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian intelligence service reported that the occupiers used the anti -ship missile of the average radius of the type 3m55 Onyx.

The SBU writes that all three reported suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28 and Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code (violation of the laws and customs of war provided for by international treaties, the consent of which is provided by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as the order to commit such actions by prior conspiracy by a group of persons).

They are threatened with imprisonment for up to 12 years.
