“After two intense and saturated years, my time as a German ambassador to Ukraine is coming to an end today. It was for me to honor my country here in Ukraine at this special time. Ukraine deeply impressed me with her people, their courage, determination and unwavering faith in a good future, ”Eger said.
Martin Eger expressed his gratitude to everyone who was with him on the way, and noted that Germany is firmly on the side of Ukraine.
“I leave Ukraine as an ambassador, but I remain closely related to this country,” he said.
Heger’s successor should come to Kiev in mid -September.
According to Die Welt newspaper, Hayko Toms, who from 2020 to 2023 was the Ambassador of Germany to Brazil, and before that he worked as a deputy chairman of the German representation at NATO.
It is known that the hunter arrived in Kiev and began work as the head of the German diploma in Ukraine on July 20, 2023.

President Vladimir Zelensky appointed Mykola Totchytsky is a permanent representative of Ukraine at the Council of Europe. The Tokytsky will hold a position instead of Boris Tarasyuk, who previously performed these responsibilities.
