The German Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Eger met with Konstantin Yeliseyev – a diplomatic adviser to the leader of the European Solidarity Party Petro Poroshenko.
This meeting took place shortly after Yeliseyev’s searches were conducted by the staff of the State Bureau of Investigation within the framework of criminal proceedings against the so -called “Kharkiv Agreements”.
Martin Eger emphasized that Eliseyev is a “worth trusting partner and a friend” and published a corresponding photo on the social network X.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the key issue – compliance with the rule of law in Ukraine. Eger noted that this is especially important in the context of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
The ambassador emphasized the need to comply with the fundamental principles of the EU, which are basic for European integration. He also added that Ukraine’s support remains unchanged, despite all the challenges faced by the country on the way to EU membership.
Konstantin Yeliseyev is a diplomat who previously held the position of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration during Petro Poroshenko’s cadence. Before that, he represented Ukraine with the EU and was a delegation member at the Association Agreement with the European Union.
We will remind, the People’s Deputy Petro Poroshenko stated that he prepares the bill on the personal responsibility of the NSDC members who vote for the imposition of sanctions against citizens of Ukraine.
