Gdańsk and the Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland have sent powerful energy equipment to Ukraine to support critical infrastructure in conditions of shelling from the Russian Federation.
Consul of Ukraine in Gdańsk Oleksandr Plodistiy reported this in a comment to Ukrinform.
In particular, five generators with a capacity of 30 to 150 kW were sent to Odessa, which should arrive in the city in the near future. Kyiv medical facilities, including Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 1 and Clinical Hospital No. 4, will receive two large 200-250 kW generators from Polish partners to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages.
Polish business and public initiatives, which direct aid to the frontline regions, are actively involved in the humanitarian mission. The “Via Stella” Foundation handed over generators, EcoFlow charging stations and two armored vehicles to Nikopol for the needs of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Emergency Services. In addition, the public organization “Soup on Montsyak” sent a convoy of 11 cars loaded with medicines, autonomous power supplies and special equipment for military and civilians in Sumy, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
Kyiv region received the first aid package from Poland – 35 generators of various capacities and 18 oil heaters. This is the first stage of a large support program, which should ensure the stable operation of critical infrastructure in the region.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the financing of the first stage of the new state program “SvitloDim”, aimed at providing multi-apartment buildings with autonomous energy sources.
