Several Ukrainian officials were checked on polygraph. The reason for this was the leakage of the details of the US and Ukraine agreement on minerals.
The Financial Times writes about it.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky ordered the SBU to investigate after the leakage of the new draft agreement between the United States and Ukraine on the subsoil.
The investigation was initiated after the details of the agreement were published by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak. He noted that this is not the final document and the text would probably be edited. That is, these were the wishes of the American side as of March 23. Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that his sources are not Ukrainian officials.
According to Zheleznyak, in the new agreement, Americans suggest that the majority in the Fund’s management consist of US representatives (3 out of 5 members). The agreement allegedly applies to all minerals of Ukraine: both new and those used. According to the People’s Deputy, all new investment projects should first be offered to the US side. At the same time, nothing stated in the Security Guarantees for Ukraine.
During a briefing with journalists on March 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was surprised that he did not read the document himself, and “deputies already know everything.”
The FT interlocutors said that the employees of several ministries had already been tested on the lie detector, but they did not specify, how many people had already been checked. RBC-Ukraine sources in different authorities also confirm the polygraph information.
The President did not respond at the request of journalists. And the SBU replied that it operates within the law, protecting Ukraine’s security, and keeps some details of its activity secret.
