Fake messages are spreading on social networks that pensioners allegedly need to “submit an application” to verify their age, otherwise they will “lose their pension.”

Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danylo Hetmantsev, denied this information.

“This is not true. No such requirements exist. All procedures regarding the appointment or termination of pensions are determined exclusively by law, and not by anonymous messages on the Internet,” Hetmantsev emphasized.

The official urged citizens not to click on suspicious links and not to transfer personal data to third parties, as this is an attempt by fraudsters to gain access to financial information.

Recently, law enforcement officers stopped the activity of 14 fraudulent call centers that operated in Kyiv, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, and Cherkasy regions.

Meanwhile, new ways of deceiving users are appearing in the world of cryptocurrencies. One of the most dangerous schemes has become drainers – malicious programs that steal cryptocurrency from wallets users .
