France handed Ukraine 40 robots that extinguished the fire in the Notre-Dame Cathedral

France handed over 40 advanced Colossus firefighting robots from Shark Robotics to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The works purchased with French funds are intended to simplify work and reduce risks for firefighters during complex operations, the website of the French Embassy in Ukraine reported. France handed over 40 advanced Colossus firefighting robots from Shark Robotics to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The works purchased with French funds are intended to simplify work and reduce risks for firefighters during complex operations, the website of the French Embassy in Ukraine reported.

Colossus robots have successfully proven themselves, in particular, during firefighting in Cathedrals of Notre-Dame de Pariswhere they worked in extreme conditions for more than 10 hours.

Designed to work at extremely high temperatures, robots can be used for:

  • Fire extinguishing.

  • Evacuation of victims.

They can be where there is too much danger for a living person. The works were developed in close cooperation with the French fire service.

Earlier it was reported that France is transferring Mirage 2000 fighters to Ukraine. Before the transfer, they will also be equipped with new equipment.

France will not just transfer old Mirage 2000 planes to Ukraine – they will be modernized so that they have air superiority, said Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov.
