As forecasters noted, this is due to complex atmospheric processes at different altitudes. Most of the northern regions, as well as Cherkasy region, will pass without precipitation thanks to the area of high pressure.
On the other hand, snowfall is expected in the Carpathian and Volhynia regions, especially at night, and snow is possible during the day in the Azov region.
The coldest will be in the northern regions, where the temperature at night can reach -20°, and in some places even up to -23°. In other regions, moderate frosts are observed: -10…-15° at night, -7…-12° during the day.
In the Kyiv region, cold weather is expected with clearings, without precipitation, but with ice on the roads.
The weather on January 15 is important for the public, as frost can lead to difficulties in movement and health risks. Forecasters’ warning of heavy snowfall confirms the need to be careful on the roads. In the future, forecasters predict gradual warming in most regions of Ukraine.
