At night, Russian troops struck Lviv with a ballistic missile. This happened for the first time during the period of a full-scale invasion.
This was announced by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.
“According to the information of the Air Force, the strike on Lviv was carried out by a ballistic missile. The air target was moving along a ballistic trajectory at a speed of about 13,000 km per hour – this is extremely high speed. This is the first case of using this type of attack on Lviv during a full-scale war. The city is located less than 70 km from the border with the European Union. This is a clear signal to our international partners: Russia’s war does not stop at any borders,” the message reads.
Sadovy added: “Meanwhile, the enemy’s Ministry of Defense claims that this Oreshnik is allegedly “revenge” for the fictitious attack on the Russian dictator’s dacha. Nothing new from the country of murderers and liars.”
We will remind that on the night of January 9, the enemy carried out massive shelling of Kyiv region, in particular, Brovary, where rescuers of the State Emergency Service pulled out four family members – parents, grandmother and a five-year-old child – from under the rubble.
In the village of Rudno, that belongs to to the Lviv community, 376 subscribers were temporarily left without gas supply due to a rocket attack, as a result of which the automatic security system was activated.
