According to the company, Ukrzaliznytsia has successfully competed rails due to open bidding in the Prozorro system for the first time since 2021.
“In January 2025, two contracts were signed for the delivery of 32 thousand tons of this critical product. These volumes will be enough to build and repair about 245 km of tracks, ”the post noted.
It is emphasized that according to the contract, the price of the rail is $ 960 per tonne (excluding VAT), that is, significantly cheaper than previous contracts.
“Our experts visited the rail production site in China, where the first batch of 16 thousand tons has already been completed, and they conducted a detailed inspection of products and got acquainted with the production process. Already in April, the rail will be shipped from the port, and in three months we are waiting for it in Ukraine, ”the post added.
We will remind that the branch “Main Information and Computing Center” of JSC “Ukrainian Railway” has concluded an agreement with LLC “IT-Development” for the supply of computer equipment with a total cost of UAH 48.4 million. The purchase was made through a tender, the results of which became known on February 11.
Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia has appointed several additional trains for popular travelers.
