In 2026, entrants will not take the state final certification (DPA), which is also not provided for at other levels of education.
This is stated in draft law No. 13650, which defines the rules and format of next year’s admissions campaign. 264 people’s deputies voted for its adoption, Serhiy Babak, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, said.
He also noted that the national multi-subject test (NMT) in 2026 will be held according to last year’s model — on one day with the possibility of additional sessions.
“This is an understandable and predictable decision in wartime, when the main issue remains the safety and equal access of each of the test participants, including abroad.” – noted Serhiy Babak.
The list of subjects for NMT remains unchanged. Entrants will take the test with:
Ukrainian language,
- mathematicians,
- history of Ukraine,
- one subject to choose from – foreign language, biology, geography, physics, chemistry or Ukrainian literature.
NMT results, folded in 2023, 2024 and 2025, remain valid and can be used for admission in 2026.
We will remind, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is planning create a zero course for applicants who have not passed the national multi-subject test.
