In Zhytomyr region, up to 15 years in prison, a serviceman was condemned, who transferred the coordinates of the forces of defense, as well as equipment and ammunition to the General Staff of the Russian Federation.

“The Chernyakhiv District Court of Zhytomyr Oblast approved a verdict in criminal proceedings on the charge of a citizen of Ukraine Z., a native of Donetsk region, in the committed criminal offense under part 2 of Article 111 (State betrayal) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine… He was sentenced to 15 years.
As the court established, the man, while in the location of the military units in which he served, voluntarily agreed to assist in conducting subversive activity against Ukraine to the representative of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as his proxy.
It is noted that he was given the task of transferring the coordinates of the location of personnel, military equipment, weapons, ammunition forces of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as other information related to their activities.
Currently, the convicted person is in custody.
We will remind that at the end of March the Security Service of Ukraine successfully conducted an operation to expose and detain the agent of Russian military intelligence, which operated in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, the SBU exposed the FSB high -ranking agent, who worked at the State Space Agency of Ukraine. The spy was detained during a meeting.
