“During this year, we developed the Ukrainian defense industry on record. We financed Ukrainian production for more than $4 billion. In the Kharkiv region, we repelled the Russian army with Ukrainian weapons. It was Ukrainian ammunition that provided the Armed Forces when we did not receive support from the United States. Today, every second piece of ammunition on the front is Ukrainian-made. If in 2023 the Ukrainian share of ammunition was 18%, then in 2024 it will increase to 41%,” Umyerov said.
Meanwhile, the Czech government estimates the amount of money needed to provide the basic needs of the Armed Forces in large-caliber projectiles at 7-10 billion euros.
