Leaders of European countries did not agree to send peacekeepers to Ukraine. Discussions on this issue arose during a summit in Paris, organized by French President Emmanuel Macron.

European states are trying to reconcile a joint position on the response to US President Donald Trump’s negotiations with Russia. Poland and Spain spoke against the sending of peacekeeping troops to Ukraine. It happened a few hours after the United Kingdom suggested sending their military as part of security guarantees for Kiev.
The meeting in Paris was attended by representatives of the six EU countries, the United Kingdom and NATO officials, the newspaper said.
France proposed to discuss the possibility of creating “Security Force ”, which can be placed behind the future ceasefire in Ukraine, two officials familiar with the preparation of the meeting told reporters.
The UK Prime Minister Kir Starmer said he was ready to send the British military to Ukraine if necessary. However, the leaders of other countries have treated this idea more restrained.
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albars said that the issue of sending troops to Ukraine is currently being considered. According to him, the world is still very far from such a step, and the main reason for this is the actions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
