He noted that the European part of these guarantees is almost ready, but without the support of the USA, the situation remains unstable. Zelensky expressed fears that peace agreements without guarantees could lead to undesirable consequences for Ukraine.
Trump, in his turn, noted that both sides of the conflict should “stop where they are now,” offering to declare victory, but without going into details about Ukraine’s territorial concessions. Studies show that regardless of the terms of the peace agreement, Ukrainians treat Russia with caution, confirming the need for international security measures.
