The chairman of the National Asset Investigation and Management Agency, Elena Duma, announced her resignation, submitting the relevant statement on the day of the ARMA reform law.
She urged the government to grant its request, emphasizing the importance of independence of the future international audit of the agency.
The main reason for this decision was the Duma’s desire to ensure an independent audit – a key step to improve the efficiency and transparency of the institution.
According to her, in recent years, the agency has changed dramatically: “ARMA is already economic weapons against the enemy and criminals”, and the introduced changes have allowed to provide billions of budget revenues, transparency of procedures and expanding international cooperation.
We will remind, Zelensky signed the laws on the reform of the ARMA and factoring.
ARMA will also sell an arrested ship that came to the occupied Crimea.
