On Wednesday morning, large -scale electricity shutdowns in five regions were recorded in Ukraine.
According to Ukrenergo, 43 settlements were completely or partially left without light.
The reason was adverse weather conditions – heavy rain and gusts of wind that caused damage to the power grids.
Repair crews are already working to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. They carry out emergency recovery work to restore electricity to all consumers as soon as possible.
Particularly difficult is the situation in the frontal regions – sometimes it is necessary to attract sappers to check the damaged lines, as there is a risk of mining of territories.
In addition, energy is reported to increase electricity consumption by 2.6% compared to the previous day. This is due to cloudy weather that reduced the efficiency of household solar power plants.
As a result, the population began to use more electricity from the total network.
Ukrenergo urges citizens to observe the savings use of electricity, especially in peak load hours – from 10:00 to 22:00. It is important not to turn on a few powerful appliances at the same time to avoid overloading the network.
We will remind, in Kiev on May 28 there will be cloudy weather, in the afternoon there are significant rains in places.
We have already reported that with the onset of spring in Ukraine the efficiency of solar power plants has increased significantly.
