At the beginning of the working week, electricity consumption in Ukraine increased. This is explained by the decrease in temperature in most regions, compared to the end of last week.
This was reported by the press service of “Ukrenergo”.
“Electricity consumption, as of 9:30 a.m., was 5.6% higher than at the same time of the previous working day – on Friday, January 3,” the message reads.
According to the press service, on Sunday, January 5, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was at the same level as the previous weekend – Saturday, January 4.
At the same time, as the company noted, electricity consumption corresponds to seasonal indicators.
On January 6, “Ukrenergo” did not set a schedule for power outages in Ukraine.
“The situation in the power system can change. Follow the messages on the websites and official social media pages of your distribution system operator (oblenergo),” the message reads.
As noted in Ukrenergo, the Ukrainian energy system continues to recover after 13 massive missile and drone attacks by the Russians during the past year. Emergency and recovery works at power facilities are ongoing.
We will remind you that Ukrenergo gave advice on saving electricity.
Earlier we wrote that Ukraine will continue to receive electricity from Slovakia, even despite Robert Fico’s threat.
