Midfielder of Kyiv “Dynamo” and player of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Pikhalyonok has started legal proceedings against his former club “Dnipro-1” due to non-fulfillment of financial obligations. According to the footballer, the club owed him money during his performances for the team for four years.
This is reported by Glavkom.
Pikhalyonok appealed to the Commercial Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region with a request to recognize his claims to the club and collect the debt. The submission became possible after the opening of the Dnipra-1 bankruptcy case initiated by Shakhtar Donetsk. Within this procedure, all creditors of the club received the right to declare their financial claims.
The reason for the bankruptcy was the club’s non-fulfillment of the terms of the contract regarding the payment of interest from last year’s transfer of Pikhalyonka to Dynamo. This amount was supposed to go to Shakhtar as compensation for training the player. Now, as part of the court procedure, all debts of “Dnipro-1” to football players, other clubs and contractors will be considered.
Pikhalyonok is not the only one who disputes the club’s debts, because Yevhen Pidlepenets, who played for Dnipro-1 in 2023, previously filed a similar claim with the court and demands compensation of over UAH 800,000.
We will remind you that “Shakhtar” defeated “Dynamo” and established itself at the top of the UPL.
