Dmytro Lubinets, the human rights representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reported this in Telegram.

He informed about the working meeting of representatives of the Ombudsman’s Office – for social and economic rights, Olena Kolobrodova and for the rights of citizens who suffered as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, Olga Altunina – with representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine.

The representatives of the office thanked for the fruitful interaction and the significant contribution of the USA in decision-making regarding the support of Ukraine at the international level.

The parties discussed development issues and the main challenges with social protection programs for internally displaced persons, the problems of Ukrainians who received shelter in other countries, the issue of support for people with disabilities and other vulnerable population groups, the situation with the protection of children affected by the war.

Altunina noted that during the Russian Federation’s full-scale war against Ukraine, at least 3.5 million Ukrainians lost their homes.
