Every day in Ukraine, about 400,000 consumers remain without electricity due to attacks by Russian troops, which especially affects the border and frontline regions.

About it on briefing reported acting Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov.

“Because of constant attacks of Russia on average, about 400,000 consumers remain without electricity every day in Ukraine – mainly in the border and frontline regions. This number changes every day and depends on the intensity of the blows,” said Nekrasov.

As of this morning, all the consumers who lost power were restored, but in Odesa, about 32,000 people still remain without electricity after the attacks on December 13 and 14.

The energy infrastructure of Ukraine continues to suffer from enemy attacks, which makes it difficult to restore electricity.

On December 13, massive strikes resulted in major blackouts in Odesa, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

Later, by the morning of December 17, energy companies restored electricity supply to more than 550,000 consumers in Odesa, but the situation remains tense. Further actions of the energy industry are focused on restoring supply and protecting the infrastructure from new attacks.

Throughout today – Wednesday, December 17 – in various regions of Ukraine are operating stabilizing power outage.
