As reported, on December 25, the ex-chief of the regional SBU department was released from the pretrial detention center after posting bail. Lawyers and several people were waiting for him at the institution.
Immediately after leaving, Dudin was surrounded by employees in uniform with patches of the State Bureau of Investigation and put in a car. According to preliminary information, it is about handing over a new suspicion.
At the moment, the DBR has not officially commented on the repeated detention.
Roman Dudin is accused of treason and voluntarily leaving the place of service under martial law. On December 24, a bail of 4.2 million hryvnias was made for him.
According to his lawyer Oleksandr Kozhevnikov, the funds for Dudin were contributed by the so-called “American partners”. After confirming the payment of the bail, Kozhevnikov notes, the information could be transferred to the SBI, after which bureau employees appeared near the pretrial detention center.
The lawyer also stated that during the detention of Dudin, he and other defenders were not allowed to be present, and the ex-head of the SBU himself was summoned to a free state lawyer. According to him, the detention took place without explanation.
