The court in Kyiv extended the arrest of People’s Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky in the case of high treason. At the same time, the court determined an alternative to detention — bail in the amount of over 33 million hryvnias, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported in a comment to the UP.
The Shevchenkiv District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure against People’s Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is suspected of treason. The court kept him in custody until March 14, but at the same time determined the possibility of release on bail. The amount of the pledge is 33 million 280 thousand hryvnias.
The OGP confirmed the court’s decision and noted that they currently have only the introductory and final parts of the decision. “The Shevchenkiv District Court of the city of Kyiv extended the suspect’s preventive measure in the form of detention until March 14 of this year, at the same time setting bail in the amount of over UAH 33 million,” the Prosecutor General’s Office reported. The prosecutor’s office also emphasized that after receiving the full text of the court decision, a decision will be made regarding a possible appeal. “After reviewing the entire text, a decision will be made on the possibility of an appeal,” the OGP noted.
Oleksandr Dubinskyi is in custody as part of criminal proceedings regarding high treason. Law enforcement officials believe that his activities could harm Ukraine’s national security. The People’s Deputy himself previously repeatedly rejected the accusation and called the case politically motivated.
Thus, the court kept Dubinsky in the pretrial detention center, but opened the possibility of release in case of payment of a certain amount of bail. The further development of the case will depend both on the actions of the defense and on the position of the prosecutor’s office regarding a possible appeal of the decision.

As for Dubinsky’s suspicion, she is concerns cooperation with the aggressor state: according to the SBI, on the instructions of the Russian curators, the people’s deputy participated in destabilizing the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discrediting our state in the international arena.
