In the Ukrainian power system, the most tense situation is recorded this winter – due to massive missile strikes and difficult weather conditions, emergency shutdowns occur.
As reported by the DTEK company, emergency shutdowns are in effect in the capital, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Stabilization shutdown schedules are currently not applicable due to the scale of the damage.
In Kyiv, the enemy hit the power generation just when the load on the system was maximum due to severe frosts. As a result, part of the Pecherskyi, Holosiivskyi districts and some microdistricts of the Left Bank remained without electricity.
Power crews are working around the clock to restore power, but due to the complexity of the damage, the work may take several more days.
The situation in the Kyiv region was complicated by bad weather — ice and icing of power lines led to additional accidents. To eliminate the consequences, 187 repair crews are involved in the region, working around the clock.
Specialists emphasize that the priority is to supply power to critical infrastructure facilities, hospitals and water utilities.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, due to strikes on high-voltage substations, serious problems with electricity transmission have arisen.
On the night of January 11, a large-scale accident occurred, which left most of the region without electricity, except for the Kryvorizka district.
In the morning, power supply was partially restored, in particular for critical facilities, but emergency shutdowns in the region continue.
We will remind you that the light is returning to Kyiv, but the networks cannot withstand the load.
Also, in Kyiv, energy workers returned the light to more than 150,000 homes after shelling.
