“Analyzing the number of services purchased by the state, we see that Ukrainians are increasingly appearing with their family doctor or an outpatient or specialized unit with such alarming conditions such as depression, sleep disorders, anxiety, apathy, PTSR, alcohol abuse or drug. Since 2022, the number of such patients has doubled, and even more in some areas, ”Gusak said.
According to her, every third person in Ukraine already has either a depressive state or has suffered signs of PTSD, or has some other symptoms of mental health disorders.
In total, according to WHO, about nine million Ukrainians are now in need or will need help with these conditions.
The goose also emphasized that it is very important not to delay their concern for its mental health, as it has a significant impact on physical health. In particular, doctors have observed increased cases of exacerbation of chronic diseases over the last three years, as well as cases of strokes, heart attacks, cancers, which are also caused by mental factors.
The head of the NSAU reminded that since 2021, under the reimbursement program “Affordable Medicines”, Ukrainians can receive free of charge or with a small extra charge of medicines in the direction of “psyche disorder” and called not to neglect such an opportunity.
Earlier, the Ministry of Veterans initiated the program of providing free psychological assistance for veterans, their families and families of fallen defenders and defenders.
