A new digital logistics management system was officially launched in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From now on, the military has a single platform for controlling resources, procurement and finances, which greatly simplifies management and reduces bureaucracy. The system already covers more than a thousand military units and allows working with all types of weapons and rear support, informs Facebook
An important stage of the digital transformation of defense support has been completed. “The army received a single resource management ecosystem — from the strategic level to each military unit. It automates defense procurement processes and financial accounting. It is a fast tool that minimizes bureaucracy and makes resource management convenient and transparent,” Shmyhal wrote.
According to the minister, the system is built on the basis of SAP — a solution for managing defense resources, which is used by more than 90% of the armies of NATO countries. This allows you to see available resources in real time, track their movement, plan supplies and make decisions based on up-to-date data.
Today, the new digital system is already operational in more than 1,000 military units across the country. It covers key areas of support — from UAVs and ground-based weapons systems to rear supply and logistical support.
Shmyhal emphasized that the innovation makes the process of managing defense resources transparent and operational, allows quick response to the needs of the troops and increases the efficiency of logistics even in difficult wartime conditions. “This system solution allows managers to see the real picture at the front and make accurate decisions without waiting for weeks for reports and bureaucratic approvals,” the minister added.
