Counterintelligence of the Security Service has disrupted a new attempt by the FSB to carry out a terrorist attack in the frontline regions of Ukraine. According to the results of the special operation in Zaporizhzhya, two Russian agents were detained, who prepared undermined the fighters of the 12th Brigade of the Special Forces of the National Guard.

As the investigation was established, the Custom FSBs had to lay a homemade explosive device (SVP) under the azov car, who are fighting on the front line. It is noted that agents have repeatedly served their sentences for robbery and drug trafficking.
“In the field of view of the aggressor, the recidivists got through the wife of one of them, who lives in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk and works for the enemy. According to the instructions of the Russian intelligence service, agents made the SVP on their own, and then monitored the car of Ukrainian soldiers. In addition, the defendants were supposed to install a hidden camera with an online transmission for the FSB on the site of the planned terrorist attack. In this way, the Russian special services hoped to track the arrival of the Azov fighters to their car and at this point to activate the SVP remotely, ”the militiamen said.
SBU staff exposed agents in advance and detained them. During the searches, ready -made SVPs, additional components for the manufacture of new explosives, as well as phones from which they came in contact with the FSB curator were removed.
Investigators of the Security Service reported both detainees of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 111 (State betrayal committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons in martial law);
- Part 2 of Art. 28, h. 1, 2 tbsp. 263 (illegal production and storage of explosives without the law provided for by law, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons).
The attackers are in custody without bail. They are threatened with life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
