It is noted that the attackers had properly issued documents, so the so -called humanitarian vehicles have been customs clearance.
“These organizations were used to use volunteer status to cover illegal vehicles. Under the guise of humanitarian help, they brought several thousand cars to resale in Ukraine”– said in the message.
The press service added that the head of one of the charitable organizations, which, according to the documents, had to receive cars, was a dead person.
The customs state that since the beginning of 2025 the number of attempts to illegally import cars under the guise of humanitarian aid and, accordingly, has increased without payment of customs payments.
In total, since the beginning of martial law, the customs authorities have sent 977 reports of identified acts with signs of crime, and made 1426 protocols on violation of customs rules related to goods declared as humanitarian assistance.
Earlier in Bukovina, law enforcement officers exposed a scheme with cars. The charity employees sold car volunteers imported as humanitarian assistance.
In the Lviv region, the SBU has blocked the scheme of sale of bulletproof vests received as humanitarian aid.
