In Odesa, border guards stopped the activities of an international criminal group that provided services for the illegal transportation of people to Moldova. At the same time, three criminals were arrested both in the Podilsk district and in Odesa itself.
This is stated in the message of the DPSU.
The border guards, together with NPU employees, detained three criminals: the organizer – a citizen of Armenia – and two of his accomplices, citizens of Ukraine.
The DPSU said that for their services, the criminals took 6.5 thousand US dollars from each client, whom they sought out through their own contacts. At first, customers were delivered from Odesa to the suburbs, and then to settlements on the border of the Podilsky district.
One of the accomplices was detained by the law enforcement officers right near the state border, near the village of Kruti in the Podil District. He tried to cross the Transnistrian segment of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border with a man of conscription age, having previously accompanied him on public transport.
On the same day, authorized searches were conducted at the home of the organizer himself and another accomplice, as a result of which items that could indicate illegal activity were seized.
All three dealers were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the suspicion of committing a criminal offense, provided for in part. 3 Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine”.
It will be recalled that the State Border Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, has exposed about 700 criminal groups illegally transporting conscripts across the border since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
in June of this year, a group of almost half a hundred so-called evaders who tried to illegally flee abroad were detained in the Odesa region.
We also wrote that in Odesa in the summer, border guards detected potential fugitives who were trying to reach the border with Moldova in a truck trailer.
