In the Lviv region, officials of one of the city councils were exposed, who received an illegal benefit from an entrepreneur. They were informed of the suspicion and precautionary measures were taken.

“Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the group was exposed and informed of the suspicion. To the deputy mayor and the head of the department of accounting and economic support of one of the city councils of the Lviv region on the fact of receiving an illegal benefit (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Precautionary measures have been chosen for the suspects in the form of detention with the right to post bail,” the message reads.
According to the investigation, the suspects developed a scheme to receive an illegal demand from the entrepreneur in the amount of 7% of the sums of the concluded contracts for the supply of goods – computer and office equipment for the needs of the city council.
For this money, they promised not to create artificial obstacles during the reception and transfer of goods, their payment according to the invoices.
The deputy mayor met with the private entrepreneur and informed him of all the conditions, and for the conspiracy of illegal activity he involved the head of the department of accounting and financial support, who was responsible for receiving “kickbacks”.
The officials were detained after receiving yet another bribe in the amount of 17,000 hryvnias.
The prosecutor’s office noted that the defendants managed to “earn” 25,000 hryvnias in this way.
Earlier it was reported that under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against the deputy head of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the KMDA, the director of the Communal Transport Service of the KMDA, and the head of the transport company, who acted as an intermediary when the officials received money from the carrier.
