Today, on August 4, the Orthodox Church mentions the seven children of Ephesus – Makcimilian, Yamvlikh, Martinian, John, Dionysius, Ekakusustodian (Constantine) and Antonin, as well as honoring the Reverend Martyr Evdokia.
On this day, believers ask for miracle, protection and spiritual renewal.
Evdokia is an example of deep repentance and power of faith. According to legend, her path from luxurious life to deep spirituality is a real miracle.
Evdokia gave the property to the poor, became abbot and, despite persecution and suffering, did not renounce her faith.
