Despite numerous Kremlin’s attempts, China does not provide Russia with military assistance in the war against Ukraine.

This was stated by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov in an interview with “News.live”.

He noted that when asked about the role of China in the support of the Russian Federation can definitely be answered – there is no military assistance.

“The rest is a question of a complex diplomatic process,” Yusov added, emphasizing that Beijing is maintained from direct steps in favor of Moscow.

According to him, Moscow is trying to enlist the support of China in the military sphere – but yet these efforts are not producing.

“Any contacts between the two countries occur mainly at the diplomatic level and do not include the supply of weapons or equipment for active fighting,” the Ukrainian intelligence representative said.

Experts believe that China’s position testifies to Beijing’s desire to avoid direct involvement in the war – and maintain their own international reputation while maintaining a complex diplomatic game with Moscow. Ukrainian intelligence continues to monitor any changes in Beijing’s position-and evaluates potential risks to Ukraine’s security.
