Carrot prices in Ukraine are rising for the second week in a row

For the second week in a row, Ukrainian producers are raising the selling prices for high-quality carrots. This is reported by EastFruit analysts. Market participants explain the increase in prices by the consistently high demand for root crops against the background of limited supply. For the second week in a row, Ukrainian producers are raising the selling prices for high-quality carrots.

This is reported by EastFruit analysts.

Market participants explain the increase in prices by the consistently high demand for root crops against the background of limited supply. Wholesale companies and retail chains are actively buying up products, while stocks of carrots of adequate quality in warehouses are rapidly decreasing.

Currently, sales are in the range of UAH 8-14 per kilogram, which is on average 26% more expensive than at the end of last week.

At the same time, despite the current price increase, carrots on the Ukrainian market are still about 63% cheaper than in the same period last year.

Experts associate this situation with storage problems in many farms. Product quality was lower than expected due to adverse weather conditions during the fall 2025 harvest.

We will remind you that the price of sunflower in Ukraine has risen to the maximum of the season.

The government also instructed to control drug prices due to the risk of price increases.
