The Cabinet of Ministers today approved a bill on amendments to the state budget for 2025, which provides for an increase in the financing of the security and defense sector.
This was stated in Telegram by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, publishing the relevant document.
According to him, expenditures of the General Fund of the State Budget are proposed to increase by UAH 317 billion. Most of the funds will be directed to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Financing is envisaged on:

salaries of servicemen and other mandatory payments;
-
purchase, modernization and repair of weapons, military equipment and equipment;
-
Development of the defense-industrial complex and introduction of new technologies in the field of defense.
The document also specifies the main indicators of the state budget:

Total income – 2.502 trillion UAH;

expenditures – 4.654 trillion UAH;
-
deficit – UAH 2,184.
In addition, the government will be entitled to redistribute the general fund between budget programs in November 2025 in order to finance the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine first and foremost.
We will remind, the draft state budget-2026 provides UAH 258 billion of expenditures for health care, which is 38 billion UAH more than expenses in 2025.
The government also prepares the 2026 budget with the continuation of the war.
