Border guards exposed a large-scale attempt to smuggle Apple equipment, including iPhone 15, 16, 17, worth UAH 35 million. All this was hidden in the structural elements of the minibus.

“At one of the checkpoints, during the inspection of a Renault minibus, border guards together with customs officers discovered an attempt to illegally move Apple equipment. In order to avoid suspicion, the driver in Poland took several passengers who were going to Ukraine,” the State Border Service reported on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
During the inspection, the border guards had to dismantle the structural elements of the vehicle. In a specially arranged hiding place in the bottom of the minibus, various mobile phones were discovered – iPhone 15, 16, 17, smartwatches and Apple headphones. In total, 829 pieces of equipment were retrieved from the cache. The estimated value of the seized is more than UAH 35 million.
The discovered fact was documented, and the information was transferred to the territorial management of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region for further consideration.
Previously, the border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment, together with customs officers, exposed an attempt to illegally export ancient objects from Ukraine, which may have cultural and historical value.
