The occupied ZPP has been working with the Ukrainian energy system for six days, and the power of all critically important security systems is provided exclusively by backup diesel power plants. Korikov emphasized that ignoring the invaders of security principles, constant shelling and damage to power lines, as well as obstacles to their restoration can lead to the development of events in the worst scenario.
It is not known exactly what diesel reserves are on the site and how long the generators that support the cooling systems of irradiated nuclear fuel in all six reactors and endurance pools can work. The President of the State Decision stressed that if the occupiers do not create conditions for the restoration of communication with the Ukrainian energy system and the fuel will end, it is likely to develop an emergency situation that will have radiation consequences not only for Ukraine but also for European countries.
On Tuesday, September 23, a tenth Blackut occurred at the Zaporizhzhya NPP from the beginning of the occupation of the station by the Russian army.
