On Tuesday, September 23, a tenth Blackut occurred at the Zaporizhzhya NPP from the beginning of the occupation of the station by the Russian army.

“Today at 16:56 a single power line was disconnected, through which the Zaporizhzhya NPP received power from the Ukrainian power system. The NPP has switched to powering its own needs from dieselgenerators. This is a significant violation of the conditions of normal operation of the station, ”the message reads.
The Ministry of Energy emphasizes that throughout the occupation period, the Zaporizhzhia NPP has repeatedly undergone through Russian shelling and damage to energy infrastructure.
“Today’s incident proves that Russian occupation is a major threat to the safe work of the NPP. The Ministry of Energy calls the international community for decisive action – it is necessary to increase pressure on the Russians for the early demilitarization and de -occupation of the station. The return of the ZPP to full and legitimate control of Ukraine is the only way to restore nuclear security in the region, ”the statement reads.
It should be reminded that on September 19, the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) approved a resolution in which it called on Russia to return the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant under the control of Ukraine.
Recently, the IAEA group, based on the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZPE), reported shelling near the site and recorded black smoke, which rose from three places nearby.
Earlier, the IAEA declared critical violations of nuclear safety at the ZPP. In response, Russia has intensified propaganda and tries to shift responsibility for a dangerous situation to Ukraine.
