Darya Tarasenko’s lawyer analyzed the bill No. 13685, which concerns the departure of men under 24 years abroad. For her in words the document does not eliminate “gaps” in the legislation, which is the absence of a direct prohibition on departure.
Basic provisions of the Law 13685
Bill No. 13685 proposes to supplement the Law “On the Procedure for Departure from Ukraine and the entry into Ukraine of citizens of Ukraine” a new norm. It stipulates that during martial law or state of emergency, the right to leave for conscripts, servicemen and reservists may be temporarily restricted.
However, this is a restriction will not concern conscripts and conscripts who are not mobilized in the current and next years due to age.
Who can go abroad?
As Daria Tarasenko’s lawyer explains, if this bill is adopted in such a version, the possibility of traveling abroad will be given:
- Conscripts who will not be this year or the next year, but later.
- Military service who have undergone basic military training and which will be after 25 years later than in the current or next year.
- Military -owned up to 25 years With limited suitability, provided that the President signs a bill that awaits his decision from the fall of 2024.
Darya Tarasenko also added that this bill does not change the possibility of crossing the border on other grounds.
