“I wrote an application to leave the Committee of State Power, Local Self-Government, Redevelopment and Urban Planning,” he informed.
The parliamentarian noted that “it is necessary to move forward in the issues of development of communities and territories, state administration and international cooperation without unnecessary burdens.”
The politician emphasized that during his work in the committee it was possible to adopt and implement many good and effective initiatives: the new administrative-territorial system of Ukraine, the law on service in local self-government bodies, the law on the principles of state regional policy, which introduced functional types of territories and the foundations on the way to the European cohesion policy, legislative support for the functioning of local self-government during the war, the law on the decolonization of geographical names, and others.
At the same time, Bezgin emphasized that the subcommittee, whose chairman he served as, made a significant contribution to the work of the committee.
“A total of 172 draft acts were worked out in the committee and approved by the Verkhovna Rada during the entire period of work of this term. Of them, 91 were developed and prepared precisely by the subcommittee of the administrative-territorial system and local self-government, i.e. 52.9%,” the politician emphasized.
Bezgin thanked his colleagues and the committee team for their fruitful work, and assured that “work on all current initiatives will be continued, none of them will be left to chance.”
