In order to combat crimes against the economy of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security requested information from banking institutions about the accounts and financial transactions of SE “Volynvugilya” (YEDRPOU 32365965), where two years ago the State Audit Service discovered a shortage of equipment with a total cost of more than UAH 13 million.
BEB is interested in information about the account numbers of the state enterprise; about account balances; debiting and/or crediting operations; date and time of debiting from the specified accounts and/or crediting to the accounts; assignment of payments; counterparty data; numbers of counterparties’ accounts. Information is also collected about known transactions that were carried out without bank accounts.
We will remind that in December 2023, the State Audit Service discovered a shortage of equipment at the warehouses and sites of the state-owned enterprise “Volynvugilya” with a total cost of more than UAH 13 million.
Also, under the former leadership, “Volynvugilya” allowed misuse of budget funds: UAH 31.8 million, intended for the restructuring of the coal industry, was used by the company to pay salaries to the administrative and management apparatus.
The SBI completed the pre-trial investigation of four former general directors of the state-owned enterprise “Volynvugilya”, who headed the enterprise at different times from 2017 to 2022. 1.17 billion hryvnias of damage was caused due to the abuse of environmental and subsoil officials.
Moreover, “Volynvugillia” has been engaged in mining at two of its five mines for four years without special permits.
