Rusana Plonsak works in Florida, where the most diverse cultures intersect under the sun. A barber and stylist from Ukraine who brought something more than technology to the industry. She confidently works with the most complex types of hair and skull, does not chase the ideal, but creates a balance. Behind the fades, clean transitions and clear lines hides not just skill, but a philosophy: to see a person and respect his uniqueness.

The first rule: look

Usually a man knows exactly what he does NOT want: uneven fades, emphasis on flaws or a “perfect” haircut that does not fit the shape of the head. Therefore, Rusana begins her work with observation, analyzing how hair grows, the shape of the skull and how the client feels. Only after that he decides what and how to do.

She calls this method adaptive barbering. Shape, length, lines are adjusted to everything: from hair thickness and growth characteristics to past unsuccessful experiments. Sometimes men even have psychological injuries from haircuts, and this is important to take into account. The task is not just to cut, but to create the feeling that the hair works for a person, emphasizes advantages and hides what she herself would like to hide.

The power of scissors in the world of machines

Rusana Plonsak is known for her unique techniques of working with scissors. While clippers remain the standard in barbering, they don’t always handle problem areas such as scars, bumps on the skull, or transitions that are difficult to handle. This is where her proprietary method comes into play, allowing you to create clean and neat fades even on the most difficult areas. The process takes time and patience, but the result always justifies the effort.

Admin in Texas, stylist in Florida

Moving to the USA was an important step in Rusana’s career. She started as an administrator at Boardroom Salon in Texas. This made it possible to see the American industry from the inside: to understand the service, the structure of the business and the psychology of the local client. Later, already in Florida, she returned to the stylist’s chair at SportClips, where a dynamic flow of clients helped to polish speed without sacrificing quality.

Today, Rusana is not limited to the men’s hall. She masters women’s haircuts, where the architecture and logic of form construction are completely different, although her “feature” remains graphic transitions and purity of lines.

90% buy by packaging

In addition to haircuts, Rusana advises clients on hair care. The statistics speak for themselves: 90% of men buy products by the package, and almost no one understands what exactly his hair needs. Moreover, many stylists also do not understand the composition. Using her knowledge of trichology and the chemistry of cosmetic products, Rusana selects products so that they are as effective and safe as possible, explaining to the client the principle of their action.

Knowledge as common capital

Rusana builds her work on interaction, because she sees no sense in competition within the beauty industry. She sees her colleagues first and foremost as allies who inspire and help her grow professionally. Member status American Barber Association and British Master Barbers allows the craftswoman to be at the epicenter of events and be the first to learn about new world techniques or standards. For her, it is much more than an official title, as international recognition is a direct proof of high qualifications.

Thanks to this experience, Rusana is constantly improving and willingly helps other barbers who turn to her for advice. This communication goes beyond ordinary courses or advertising, because it is based on a sincere desire to develop the profession through a live exchange of knowledge.

A drop of confidence

They say that beautiful women are forgiven a little more, and gentlemen are allowed a little more. Rusana Plonsak is sincerely glad that with the help of a typewriter and scissors she can give her husband the drop of confidence he lacked for new achievements. A haircut is not only an appearance, but a whole sense of self: posture, voice, mood. Every man deserves to feel at his height, and the work of a barber helps him feel it.
